Do you know that Lincoln Sells SCRIP?

Scrip is simply a word that means “substitute money” – in other words, scrip is gift certificates from national and local  retailers.  They’re the same gift certificates that you buy  at the store.  Many popular retailers participate in our scrip program including JCPenney, The Gap, Shell, Pizza Hut, Red Lobster and many, many others.  See Attachment

You’re probably asking yourself how these stores help us raise money.  It’s simple -- scrip participating retailers agree to sell gift certificates to our organization at a discount.  Member families like ours buy the certificates for full face value, they redeem them for full face value, and our school keeps the difference as revenue.  And scrip is exciting, because everybody wins:

·        The retailer gets cash up front and repeat business…

·        Our school gets a regular source of revenue.

The beauty of scrip is that you put your regular household shopping dollars to work. You earn money for our school without spending a single additional penny.  Just spend your regular shopping dollars with scrip at the stores that participate in the scrip program!  And scrip can be used for just about any household purchase including food, clothing, entertainment, gasoline and even dining out. Changes in SCRIP

Make a Difference for Your Children’s Classroom Today - Buy SCRIP!
We have a brand new system for letting you see how your SCRIP purchases make a difference for your child in their classrooms.  When you purchase SCRIP, Amy will ask which classroom you would like your SCRIP earnings to go towards.  We will keep track of the earning and award the classroom/team with the funding to buy the technology based on their needs.  We will continually update students/families on how much your purchases have brought about for technology tools in the classroom! So be sure to buy your SCRIP and tell Amy which classroom you want those dollars to support!

Remember- a single $100 Kwik Trip gas card gives your classroom $9.00 toward those amazing tools for the classroom!
It is truly a wasted learning opportunity each time you purchase an item without SCRIP.

Here are the dates that Amy will be in the office from 8-10 AM selling SCRIP:

June 13 – 15 (available 8:30-3:00) Kwik Trip cards will be available on Wednesday.

SCRIP - Help fund our wireless access points!

SCRIP is still on sale in the office and continues to support technology. We are in the process of acquiring more netbooks and adding much need wireless ports so that students can get on our network. With the proliferation of cell phones, iPods, and laptops we overload our wireless access points and need to add more.

SCRIP - We now have TARGET Scrip Cards!

SCRIP is a technology fund raiser that costs nothing to you but is a treasure to Lincoln! We work with Great Lakes Scrip Company and purchase gift cards at discount. The amount of discount is our profit – usually 2 to 4% of the value of the card. Here is how it works…You purchase SCRIP cards for the stores you normally frequent - buy a $25.00 gift card and you get a $25.00 gift card. Use it like cash, a credit card or a check. Make your normal purchases, but pay for them with the SCRIP gift card. We have cards for all the major retailers in town in a variety of denominations in the office. Maybe you make purchases at Target each week. Figure out how much money you spend each week at Target each month and purchase a SCRIP card for that amount. Each time you purchase groceries of clothing, use the SCRIP card to make your purchases. It is that easy. Work downtown and eat at the same restaurant each week? Check in the office- we probably have a card for them.
