Check out the Post Bulletin's Article on Lincoln's 40th!

The Post Bulletin has an article today featuring Lincoln and it's 40th year celebration!

Here's an excerpt:

...Lincoln's classrooms are desk free, and students, parents and staff are like a family, say the school-goers. A multi-age approach focuses on interaction among students of all ages.
"It's a choice school, the staff chooses to be here, the kids want to be here, the parents want to be here," said Linnea Archer, a middle school language arts teacher. "Everybody wants to be here, and boy, that sure makes a difference when you're educating kids."...

Staff Appreciation
Lincoln wouldn't be "The Best School in the Universe" if we didn't have the best staff in the Universe!  Find a way to thank them by clicking on the link below.  There are many ways to help, either by sending non-perishables to the staff lounge before or after school (or with your student), delivering hot food for conferences, when the teachers may be at school from sun up to sun down (or longer!) or - the FREE way to contribute: help set up or clean up!  Every effort is appreciated, and makes our Lincoln community stronger!  Thank you!

STEM snippet of the week

It is only the first month of school, yet there is learning everywhere at Lincoln!
*Kindergarten students were talking with a scientist from Mayo Clinic Research lab via Skype. They learned all about his job and were able to virtually visit the fish habitat where 20,000 fish live.
*Fifth graders were exploring the world of bubbles. Some of the bubbles were large enough to fit a person inside!
