PPT Funds in Action

The PPT supports Lincoln in many ways.  The funds from the Auction go towards many projects, including the Lincoln Raised Bed Gardens.

Students start plants in their classrooms and then transplant them to the gardens.  Kindergartners planted gourds and mini pumpkins that they then harvested this week, and will use for a science and art project.  Third graders raised giant cabbage plants at home over the summer and then submitted pictures of themselves with their cabbage and its weight.

Thank you to the PPT for making this possible!

Lincoln Auction Volunteer sign-up

Please go to this website to sign up to volunteer at this year's auction.  This sign-up allows you to pick what you want to help with, whether it be the night before, for set-up, or the day of the Auction, or both!  This is the major fund raiser for Lincoln for the year and we need volunteers to make it happen.  If you can only donate time this year here is how you do it.  Click on the link and sign up to  volunteer.

Lincoln media center needs your help!

Fun and fast-paced volunteer opportunity available at the Greatest School Library in the Universe!
The media center is seeking a volunteer to help with our Lynx reading program on Friday mornings from 9-930 a.m.  Students in kindergarten through 2nd grade visit the library every morning to return Lynx books and check out new ones.  Assistance is needed with sorting and checking-in books, reviewing student reading sheets, and punching stamp cards.  It's a quick 30 minutes and a great way to get to know students, library staff, and other volunteers. If you'd like to help or would like more information, please contact Janis (jamelvin@rochester.k12.mn.us) or Dawn (dawelch@rochester.k12.mn.us), ph 328.3562.  Thanks for considering!

Here comes the Great Lincoln Auction 2018!

The stage is set at school and ready for all of the donations and auction fun headed our way!

Wanting to donate to the auction, but aren’t sure what to donate? You have lots of options!

First, we have pre-made packages available! With a monetary donation, we can create a package for you – no shopping, no running around town – we take care of the work & planning for you! Just shoot a message to the Auction Committee and we are happy to help! LincolnSchoolAuction@gmail.com

Second, below is a list of some of the items we are looking for (these are just suggestions! The sky is the limit!)
• Passes to Nick Universe, Sea Life, mini golf, American Girl and/or any other MOA activities (make sure to check out Groupon!)
• Gift cards to local restaurants & establishments
• Tickets to sporting events/shows either in the local area or in the Twin Cities area
• Gift certificate or time offered for services like: house cleaning, handyman work, monthly cookies/pies/baked goods, yard cleanup/maintenance etc.

Third (and most importantly!) Please don’t limit yourself to a list – we love to see the creativity behind the donations!

Don’t forget to follow the Facebook page for updates on the auction! Facebook.com/LincolnK8

Thank you in advance for your continued support!

Zulu African Acrobats (performed at Lincoln last week!)
